Priorities set: In the Pavlodar region discussed the implementation of the Address of the President

Business support, development of tourism infrastructure and the introduction of irrigation this was discussed during a regional asset to clarify the main provisions of the Presidential Address to the people of Kazakhstan.

Opening the meeting, the akim of Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov said that the main priority outlined in the Message is to ensure stability and harmony in society.

The President paid special attention to micro and small businesses, the head of the region said. Entrepreneurs will be given all kinds of support. The entire system of state financial support for SMEs will be completely restarted. And this is right, because it is necessary to give priority to new projects, from which there will be a significant contribution to the economy and jobs.

A great help for business should be exemption from income tax for a period of three years and a three-year ban on inspections.

I consider such decisions to be timely, because the bulk of the funds from which the budget is replenished is taxes from small medium-sized businesses, said Aurika Dyak, chairman of the Association of Business Women of Pavlodar Region. We have long expected such initiatives, and we are glad that they sound from the lips of the country’s leadership. But we need to remember that during the moratorium, it is necessary to activate the tools of self-regulation and public control.

In addition, the region has already intensified work on the development of tourism infrastructure, which Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev spoke about during the Message. This work has already yielded first results this year in the resort area of Bayanaul, a record more than 200 thousand guests received.

There are sacred places in our region, such as the Mashkhur-Zhusup Kopeev mausoleum, where people from all over Kazakhstan come, said Bulat Bakauov. Our region can accept much more tourists, including from abroad. The main thing is to provide them comfort and safety. We practically made the roads, now it’s up to the infrastructure.

One of the priority issues for Irtysh will be the development of irrigation. The region has developed a comprehensive plan until 2022, under which irrigation areas in the region will be increased to 145 thousand hectares.

Only along the Irtysh-Uspenka canal we have the largest massif of 10 thousand hectares, the akim recalled. Irrigation is the future of our agriculture.
