Prime Minister visits Almaty Innovative Technology Park
As part of an official visit to Almaty, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited today the innovative technology park where was presented the scientific developments of Kazakh scientists and held a meeting focused on the Presidential Address Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness.
At the Innovative Technology Park SEZ, the Prime Minister visited the modern training and fitness center for professional training of operators, petrochemical engineers, drilling contractors and technical staff of service companies, as well as the company that produces the modern import-substituting telecommunication equipment.
B.Sagintayev held a meeting with the representatives of IT organizations operating on the SEZ territory, where noted the need to apply all the scientific and innovative potential of the country to achieve the objectives voiced in the Presidential Address.
The President tasked to create a new economic growth model to be based on new, promising technologies and innovations, which will allow Kazakhstan to enter the top 30 most developed countries of the world in 2050. In this regard, B.Sagintayev noted that the SEZ can make a significant contribution to the implementation of this task.
Following the meeting, Bakytzhan Sagintayev tasked the ministries of investments and development, information and communication to analyze the proposals made and take them into account when developing the Digital Kazakhstan state program.
For reference: Innovative Technology Park Special Economic Zone was established as per the Presidential Decree and deals with the development of such areas as IT, electronics and instrumentation, renewable energy sources, resource conservation, efficient use of natural resources, etc.
ITP SEZ goes into the Innovative Technology Park autonomous cluster fund established by the Government in 2015, which is under the Almaty Tech Garden umbrella brand consolidates the scientific and technical base of the leading universities and research institutes of Almaty, as well as ITP SEZ participating companies. To date, 221 organizations are joined under the innovative cluster.
