Prime Minister receives report on measures to increase oil refining volumes at the Pavlodar petrochemical plant

As part of his working visit, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev inspected the modernization of LLP Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, one of Kazakhstan’s largest enterprises for producing petroleum products.

Modernization of the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant is carried out within the Industrial and Innovative Development State Program and includes automation of control systems, introduction of energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, which will increase productivity of crude oil processing.

Director General of LLP Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant Shukhrat Danbay reported that after completion of modernization the production of high-octane gasoline will increase by 297 thousand tonnes, and production will launch of Jet A1 international standard jet fuel.

In total, the modernization project of the plant covers construction and reconstruction of 12 technological units and 18 offsites. After modernization, the production of light oil products will increase by 333 thousand tonnes per year.

As part of the modernization, reconstruction of existing facilities is also underway, which will allow launching K4, K5 diesel fuel and aviation fuel production at the end of this year.

In general, modernization of the PPP will provide consumers with high-quality petroleum products and reduce the burden on the environment through introducing new technologies, increasing automation of management.

Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP is one of three oil refineries in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The plant employs over 1,900 people.

To date, the production capacity of the enterprise is 5.1 million tonnes of oil annually. It provides Kazakhstan’s domestic market with petroleum products, and also exports products to countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, China, the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, Ukraine.
