Prime Minister instructs to ensure transparency of privatization

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructs the state bodies and holdings to ensure transparency of privatization.

The Prime Minister notes the foreign investors high interest in the facilities to be privatized: We need to ensure transparency and clear rules for investors.

111 facilities 9.5 billion tenge worth were privatized in 2016. 359 facilities 88 billion tenge worth were sold as part of Comprehensive Privatization Plan. Almost 72% ofthemareSamruk-Kazynafacilities.

Privatization in Kazakhstan is underway with the aim of strengthening the domestic business, reducing the state involvement in the economy, and further developing private business in the country through the transition of state assets to a more efficient owner.
