Prime Minister instructs to develop measures for technological upgrading of basic industries of Kazakhstan
At the Government meeting on Presidential Addresss implementation, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan instructed to develop comprehensive measures for technological upgrading of basic industries of Kazakhstan.
A day earlier, the Head of State N.Nazarbayev addressed the people of Kazakhstan with an annual message, which outlined the main priorities of the countrys development in the near future.
According to the Prime Minister, along with the development of new industries, the President sets the task of further development of traditional basic industries. The main factor here is the widespread introduction of the 4th industrial revolutions elements.
This is automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, big data exchange, which, in turn, will improve productivity. It is necessary to determine the main directions for the practical implementation of the Industry 4.0 elements, including the pilot projects in industrial and infrastructural sectors of the economy. The set of measures for technological upgrading the basic industries until 2025 shall be developed by the ministries of investments and development, energy, agriculture, B.Sagintayev said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that in the framework of Industrialization Program there is a task to increase the non-oil exports two times by 2025. The President instructed to concentrate tools of development and promotion of exports in the same department. To do this, there is a need to consolidate all the export support measures in the one stop principle.
Moreover, B.Sagintayev noted the necessity to intensify the work on monitoring and removal of trade barriers when promoting Kazakhstans goods to foreign markets. In this regard, the Ministry of Investments and Development is instructed to make appropriate proposals, including on establishing Export Policy Council under the Government. In addition, the export strategy should be adopted by September 1, this year.
