Prime Minister hosts meeting on counteraction to extremism and terrorism

Today at the Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting focused on the counteraction to extremism and terrorism.

The meeting, attended by the Parliament deputies, heads of Security Council of the Executive Office of the President, National Security Committee and the concerned government agencies, considered the concept of draft state program on counteraction to religious extremism and terrorism in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2020.

For reference: the concept of state program is developed under the instruction of the Head of State given at the meeting of Security Council of September 9, 2016, and is aimed at ensuring reliable protection of the individual, society and the state against the threats of religious extremism and terrorism with new challenges and risks taken into account.
