Prime Minister holds a meeting of Interdepartmental Commission on Crime Prevention
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev held today a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Crime Prevention under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov reported on the ongoing work on preventing the major road traffic accidents and accidents on the dangerous road sections.
According to the Ministry, over the last three years a downward trend has been noted in the country in the level of accident rates, despite the continuing growth of car fleet. The number of traffic accidents decreased this year by 5.7%, the number of deaths � by 3.2% and the injured � by 3.8%.
The main causes and circumstances of major road traffic accidents are speeding, crossing into oncoming traffic, exhaustion of road users and existence of accident-prone areas.
Following the meeting, the Prime Minister gave instructions to the competent authorities.
