Prime Minister gets acquainted with the research projects of EKSTU
Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University within the framework of his working trip to the region, where he got acquainted with the university’s scientific developments and met with representatives of large enterprises of the region.
The rector of the university Z. Shaymardanov reported to Prime Minister B. Sagintayev on the progress of the project on personnel training for the Industrialization State Program and preparation of targeted scientific and technological programs for joint implementation with the leading industrial enterprises of the East Kazakhstan region in 2017-2019.
Also Bakytzhan Sagintayev examined the university’s research laboratory, after which he held a meeting with the region’s heads of large enterprises on matters of EKSTU’s research and development.
The meeting was addressed by heads of scientific projects: Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of EKSTU S. Plotnikov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of EKSTU M. Dudkin, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of EKSTU N. Kulenova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of EKSTU A. Bykov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, HoD of EKSTU G. Nurshayikova, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of EKSTU D. Alontseva. As well as representatives of industrial organizations: President of JSC UKTMP A. Mamutov, Director of tantalum production of JSC ‘UMP’ A. Tsorayev, Executive Director for metallurgy of LLP Kazzinc T. Azekenov, and technical manager of LLC Vostoktsvetmet S. Abdrakhmanov.
Following the meeting, a ceremony was held of signing the memorandum on scientific and technical cooperation between JSC NAC KazAtomProm and EKSTU.
As is known, the President instructed the Government to create a new model of economic growth, in the basis of which will be new, promising technologies and innovations, that will enable Kazakhstan to join the 30 most developed countries of the world in 2050.
It should be noted that the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University has the necessary human and scientific potential to contribute to the implementation of these tasks.
