Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev arrives in Akmola region with a working visit

Today, on the instructions of the Head of the State, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev arrived in Akmola region with a working visit to get familiar with the progress of implementation of the President’s Addresses Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness, New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Five social initiatives.

Akmola region is one of the main agrarian and industrial regions of the country. Upon arrival, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the industrial and technological park of agricultural and communal equipment of LLP “Kazakhstan Agro Innovation Corporation”. On the example of the KAIC, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the implementation of the State program of industrial and innovative development in the region, as well as the introduction of digital technologies and elements of Industry 4.0 in the enterprises of the region.

According to the Akimat, the volume of industrial production in the Akmola region in January-May amounted to 244.8 billion tenge, physical volume – 102.8% of the corresponding period of 2017. Over eight years, 79 investment projects were implemented within the framework of the Industrialization Map, 7.9 thousand jobs were created. Six projects are planned in 2018 for the amount of 53.4 billion tenge, creating 1330 new permanent jobs. In addition, work continues on four projects with terms of commissioning after 2018 for the amount of 473.5 billion tenge, with the creation of 3 thousand new jobs.

To date, about 20 large companies in the field of metallurgy, machine building, chemical and food industries, construction industry are introducing the latest digital technologies that allow increasing the productive capacity and optimizing work processes.

During the visit to the workshop, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the technological process of assembling agricultural machinery. Director of Kazakhstan Agro Innovation Corporation O. Balybin reported that 507 units of agricultural machinery were produced by the plant in 2017 as part of IIDSP for the amount of 698 million tenge; in three months of 2018 – 208 units of machinery for 265 million tenge.

The government annually pays attention to raising the level of technical equipment in the agro-industrial complex. Last year, 288 tractors, 263 high-performance combine harvesters and 88 seeding complexes were purchased for a total of 32.6 billion tenge. The percentage of renewal in the context of main types of equipment was 2.6%. In five months of the current year, 576 units of machinery were purchased, including 101 tractors, 29 combines, 53 sowing complexes – for 7.5 billion tenge. To subsidize agricultural machinery, 3.4 billion tenge was allocated.

Inspection of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region will continue at LLP Meat Processing Plant Bizhan, where B. Sagintayev will be informed about the execution of the President’s instruction to increase exports of finished agricultural products.

The meeting with agrarians of the region will cover new opportunities, tools and mechanisms for support of agricultural producers, provided within the framework of the updated Agro-Industrial Complex Development State Program, as well as measures taken to secure the food belt of the capital.

A number of industrial and social facilities are also planned to be visited during the working trip.

Thus, within the framework of the inspection of the city polyclinic No. 1 Bakytzhan Sagintayev will get acquainted with the progress of digitalization of the healthcare system in the region. Issues of healthcare quality, deregulation of the sphere and the development of the private services sector will be discussed at a meeting with the region’s medical workers.

B. Sagintayev will be presented with examples of automation of state services provided at the Public Service Center, as well as regional projects of the Digital Kazakhstan State Program.

The Prime Minister’s working visit will be completed with a meeting with activists and business representatives in the regional Akimat, which will cover the results of the work for five months of the year, as well as plans for further solving the tasks given in the President’s Addresses Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness, New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Five Social Initiatives.

Recall, Bakytzhan Sagintayev is making a series of working trips to the regions on behalf of the Head of State. His earlier trips included visits to Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangystau and South-Kazakhstan regions.
