Prime Minister B. Sagintayev considers issues of flood prevention in North Kazakhstan region
On behalf of the President N. Nazarbayev, the Government is working to prevent and control flooding of settlements.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has listened to the reports of the akim of the North Kazakhstan region K. Aksakalov, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yu. Ilyin, the Chairman of the Committee on Water Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan I. Abisheva.
The akim of Petropavlovsk M. Tasmaganbetov, akims of Kyzylzhar and named after G. Musrepov districts B. Zhumabekov and V. Dudov, as well as residents of the village Zarechny and the regional center I. Bryukhova and K. Kurumbayev spoke during the meeting.
As a result of consideration of this issue, specific measures were developed to prevent and control flood hazards. In the region, a reconstruction of the fencing dam Kozhevenny in Petropavlovsk will be carried out. In addition, the dams of storage ponds “Gorkoe Lake” and “Bioprud” are to be repaired, the channels of the Yesil, Seleta, and Kamyshlovsky rivers are to be cleared.
