President Tokayev’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan-photo report
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Nov. 27 has paid the state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held narrow format talks.
Then, the two Presidents discussed topical issues and priority areas of bilateral cooperation at the Fifth Meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan, a number of documents, aimed at further deepening cooperation between the two countries have been signed.
As part of the visit, Jeenbekov and Tokayev visited the Ata-Beyit National Historic and Memorial Complex, and laid flowers at the Memorial of the victims of the tragic events of 1916 and at the grave of famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
The heads of state also visited the Aitmatov House-Museum.
On Nov. 28, the Kazakh President will take part in the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, to be held under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek.
