President congratulates Kazakhstanis on the 25th anniversary of Independence
The President Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated the Kazakhstanis on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Dear compatriots! Allow me to congratulate you cordially on the greatest day and achievement of our country � the 25th anniversary of Independence! December 16, 1991, wedeclaredourindependence. We put our turquoise national flag in the UN, our anthem became known around the world, we have made our state emblem an eternal stamp, N.Nazarbayev said.
The President noted that the first years of Independence were marked with adopting the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, establishing the Armed Forces and marking the countrys borders.
The Head of State also stressed that the idea of Eternal Country, originated 1,500 years ago, has now become a national idea. Kazakhstan has become today a single nation state recognized by the world community.
Its emblematic that Kazakhstan has been in the anniversary year elected to the UN Security Council. We started a sovereign way as one of 15 fragments of the former Soviet Union. We are starting the 25th year of Independence in a new program role. I congratulate all of you on this new responsible mission. Declaration of the 25th anniversary of Independence adopted by the Parliament became an important political and legal document, which reflects our great achievements and victories, and outlines the future ways. Now, during a live broadcast, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of you, all citizens of Kazakhstan, who worked as a family these hard years for the benefit of our homeland, our common home � the Republic of Kazakhstan; to all Kazakhstanis all over the country, in each city and village, all those who continue to work even in the pre-holiday � we have enterprises which work both at day and night, on holidays and weekdays, all citizens, workers, farmers, teachers, doctors, scientists, entrepreneurs, artists and cultural figures, civil servants and military personnel, and our young people, N.Nazarbayev said.
