Plans of Embamunaygas JSC for Digital Deposit project reported to Bakytzhan Sagintayev

The project “Intellectual Deposit” or “Digital Deposit” is one of the key for the oil and gas industry and is included in the list of activities of the Digital Kazakhstan State Program. This is an automated oil and gas management system that allows achieving maximum efficiency by integrating disparate systems into a single integrated information system.

Chairman of the Board of Embamunaygas JSC, A. Zhaksybekov, said that on the basis of the Uaz field in 2016 a pilot project Digital Deposit was launched, which proved its effectiveness. The introduction of the project reduced energy consumption by 33%, unit costs for repair of wells � by 25%.

According to the methods developed by JSC Embamunaygas, algorithms for processing and analysis of the following parameters were automated: the balance of liquid and oil; loss of oil; optimization of well operation modes, etc.

In 2017, the project was replicated at the fields of the Prorva group of deposits of Zhylyoimunaigas OGPD.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev was also informed about the plans for the Digital Deposit project. In 2018, the concept will be implemented at the Zhanatalap field of Zhylyoimunaigas OGPD. In 2019-2020 its adoption is planned on other deposits of the national company KazMunayGas. In general, the implementation of the project will increase the growth of oil production to 3%, increase the oil recovery factor (economic) by 2-5% and cut costs by 5-15%.

For reference: Embamunaygas JSC is a subsidiary of KazMunayGas Exploration Production JSC. The main activities of the company: geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas treatment.

Embamunaygas JSC consists of 6 production divisions in Atyrau and 4 ones in Atyrau region: Zhayikmunaygas, DossorMunayGas, Kainarmunaygas, Zhylyoimunaygas, Embamunaygas Management and Management of the production maintenance and equipment procurement. Today the company employs more than 5 thousand people.

Annual average mining of Embamunaygas is 2.8 million tons. The company exports oil and sells it on the domestic market. For the past 5 years the Company has paid 654 billion tenge in the form of taxes to the national and local budget, allocated about 2.3 billion tenge � for the development of regional infrastructure and more than 2 billion tenge � for sponsorship and charity.
