Petrochemical plant in Pavlodar reduced emissions
“These figures could be achieved due to the activities for updating obsolete and outdated equipment. In particular, it is fuel burners replacement, providing burning and reduction of nitrogen oxides”, – the statement reads.
In addition, the plant has the modernization project including new equipment reservoirs gas return system with the use of plants to capture light fractions; construction of new sour water stripper complex sulfur production units, reconstruction of the drainage system, and includes wastewater treatment plants, water supply systems, new installations, modernization of flare.
Also, in 2016 the waste production and consumption was reduced by more than a thousand tons in comparison with 2015 and amounted to 5373 tons. Reducing the amount of waste became possible due to the reduction of emissions of building materials. In this case, the fee for emissions into the environment in the past year amounted to 391 million 480 thousand tenge.
