OVER 17.6K ETHNIC KAZAKHS ARRIVED IN KAZAKHSTAN IN 2019

The largest number of oralmans settled in Almaty – 38% and Mangistau – 14% regions, in the cities of Shymkent – 7% and Nur-Sultan – 6%.

Of the total number of ethnic Kazakhs, people of a working age make up 62.7% (11,082 people), 30.7% (5,420 people) – younger than able-bodied people, and 6.6% (1,159 people) are pensioners.

13.6% people of them have higher education, 25.2% have specialized secondary education, 46.7% have general secondary education, and 14.5% have no education.

For 2019, the Government of Kazakhstan approved a regional quota for oralmans in the amount of 2,031 people, which was distributed as follows: in Kostanay – 815, Pavlodar – 550, Akmola – 306 people, East Kazakhstan – 250, North Kazakhstan regions – 110 people.

Individuals included in the regional quota for oralmans were supported in the framework of the State program for the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 Yenbek, in the form of subsidies: for moving – a lump sum payment to each family member of 35 monthly wages (84.2 thousand tenge); to cover the costs of hiring (renting) housing and paying utility bills, which are paid monthly for 12 months from 15 to 30 MCI (from 36.1 to 72.2 thousand tenge) per family.

It should be noted that from 1991 to January 1, 2020, 313,256 families or 1,057,280 ethnic Kazakhs returned to their historical homeland.
