“One belt, one way” a new model of regional cooperation

Forum “Belt and Road” for the first time was held in 2017 in honor of the 5th anniversary of this initiative. The forum was attended by heads of 29 states, prime ministers, heads of international organizations, 6 largescale conferences and 2 extended meetings. By establishing this cooperation dialogue, the global role of the Greater Eurasia will be enhanced. This initiative is not for the first time in Kazakhstan. Speaking in honor of the 5th anniversary of the initiative, Nursultan Nazarbayev talked about the preparation of a joint strategic alignment of the Silk Road and the creation of the Common Eurasian Economic Space. For the effective development of transit potential, administrative barriers, scientific research and technology transfer are steadily rising.

What is the reputation of the Belt and the Road?

1. Political coordination. First of all, it is not difficult for China to emphasize the importance of establishing mutual understanding on the Silk Road through intergovernmental agreements, at the political level, and continuing support.

2. Infrastructure communication. This is the main focus of the initiative. Economic corridors, in particular, ports, railway and motor roads, communications and aviation, and joint venture of electric power industry. Funds are also allocated to these sectors.
