Nursultan Nazarbayev attends second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States
Following the meeting in a narrow format, the heads of the four countries decided to assign Nursultan Nazarbayev the status of Honorary Chairman of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States.

During his speech at the Consultative meeting, the First President of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the invitation to participate in the high-level event.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that the dialogue launched last year in the capital of Kazakhstan opened a new page in the history of Central Asia.
– He has dramatically improved the picture of our cooperation. The dialogue signaled to the five countries that our friendship would live on for centuries. The start of activation of contacts at all levels has been given,” Elbasy said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also spoke about the history of cooperation between the Central Asian countries.
In the context of enterprises the capacity of states parties meeting for the welfare of the peoples of all countries, the First President of Kazakhstan offered to conclude a “Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation for development of Central Asia in the XXI century”.
– This fundamental political document should reflect the basic principles and goals of our cooperation. The agreement will include provisions on mutual respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of our countries,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In addition, in order to strengthen security in the region, Elbasy proposed to hold a meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Central Asian countries next year.
At the same time, the first President of Kazakhstan urged the governments of the countries participating in the meeting to pay attention to the problems associated with the high dynamics of demographic development.
– It is necessary to achieve the creation of a “barrier-free Central Asia” by removing obstacles to the movement of goods, services and capital, – Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Elbasy also proposed to all heads of state to establish a new holiday on March 15 The Day of Central Asia.
Special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian field. Thus, within this direction, Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to allocate 10 grants for students from each country of the region, granting the right to study in the best universities of Kazakhstan.
� The cradle of the Turkic world-the city of Turkestan is experiencing its new Renaissance. At the same time, it will undoubtedly retain its cultural, historical and spiritual core. We will have beautiful metropolis, which will be our common pride. Therefore, I invite the heads of Central Asia ststes to visit this ancient city next autumn, – said the First President of Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, Elbasy expressed the need to expand and deepen the heritage of the Central Asian countries.
