NOBEL PEACE PRIZE AWARDED TO ETHIOPIAN PM
The 2019 Nobel Peace Prize was received by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, who helped to resolve the border conflict with Eritrea, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to RIA Novosti.
The Peace Prize is one of the five bequeathed at the end of the 19th century by Swedish industrialist and inventor Alfred Nobel.
Unlike other awards and as conceived by the founder, the awarding ceremony takes place in Oslo on the same day as in Stockholm December 10.
The cash award this year is SEK nine million (about 900 thousand dollars).
