NGOs to start implementation of 42 social projects by state support

by April 1, 2017 Legal

“42 projects in 11 areas received the state support for an implementation of socially significant projects. Grants will be implemented by the end of this year”, – the message says.

Recall, the results of the competition were announced on March 14.

It is worth noting that the grant mechanism allows projects to win the competition, based on effectiveness and quality of the project, without need to reduce budgets for the purpose of dumping. Similarly, the advantages of the grant are that up to 10% of the sum can be spent on the institutional development of NGO.

All information about the work within grants realization will be regularly covered on the official site of the Center.

It is to be recalled that Civil Initiatives Support Center was established in February 2016. Its main task is to distribute state grants to NGOs and to monitor the quality of their implementation. At the same time, the Center doesn’t independently determine the winners, and the decision on the competition is taken by an expert commission. This year over 556 million tenge were allocated, but by decision of the expert commission 5 grants weren’t played because of poor quality of applications received.
