A new level of transparency and control in forming state social orders are planned to be introduced in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Minister of Religious Affairs and Civil Society Nurlan Yermekbayev during the extended meeting of the collegium of the department.

Together with NGOs, the regulatory framework is being improved. Currently we are promoting the draft law on introducing changes in the activities of non-profit organizations. We envisage a new level of transparency and control in forming and evaluating state social contracts, Nurlan Yermekbayev said.

According to him, in May the draft law will be sent to the Majilis.

We are also working on clarifying the legal framework of public councils. The second half of the year will see the first National meeting of public councils. There we will present the prepared additions to the legislation. At the same time, the rules for providing grants to NGOs are being finalized. Under the new rules, the procedure for allocating grants will become more simple and transparent, Nurlan Yermekbayev stressed.

He also noted that the first forum of trilateral cooperation Asar is planned for further development of this direction.

This forum will become a platform for the presentation of NGOs’ social ideas, the development of social entrepreneurship and cooperation with business, – Nurlan Yermekbayev concluded.
