NCPH and UNICEF discuss violence against children
Today at the National Center of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan issues of violence against children are discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives of the WHO Regional Office in Kazakhstan, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and others.
During the meeting, questions were addressed on the elimination of violence against children in terms of developing a standard of operational procedures Action Algorithm for Suspicious and Identifying, Registering, Working and Forwarding Cases of Violence against Children (hereinafter referred to as SOP).
The participants made a unanimous decision on the creation of a Working Group on the development and implementation of SOP. The working group will include representatives of the WHO Regional Office in Kazakhstan, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the National Center for Public Health.
Recall that on November 5, 2018, a joint plan of the NCPH and UNICEF for 2018�2020 was signed Equality and inclusion for children, adolescents and families and A child-friendly social environment.
