MORE THAN 265 THOUSAND KAZAKHSTAN CITIZENS ARE ABLE TO PURCHASE RAILWAY TICKETS THROUGH “WAITING SHEET”
Over the three months of this year, since the introduction of the single Waiting List for the reservation of electronic railway tickets, more than 265 thousand Kazakhstan citizens have used the new service.
In total, about 8.1 million electronic train tickets were sold in the 8 months of 2019. At the same time, about 2.7 million electronic tickets were sold through the official website of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC – bilet.railways.kz.
As you know, a single Waiting list allows the passenger to stand in the electronic queue in the absence of the required ticket. When there are empty seats, the system informs the passenger by e-mail and provides two hours for the purchase of a ticket. If the ticket is not redeemed on time, then it again enters the system, and the possibility of redeeming it will be provided to the next waiting person in the list.
The new system helps reduce the shortage of travel documents that artificially create resellers.
