Ministry of National Economy names regions with highest rates of industrial growth

At the Governments meeting chaired by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev briefed on economic situation of Kazakhstan for the 9 months of this year.

According to the Minister, there is a positive trend in construction, agriculture, transport and manufacturing industry; also an increase in production of food, textiles and pharmaceuticals.

He also noted that the highest rates of industrial growth are for Karaganda, South Kazakhstan and Akmola regions.

Gross agricultural production increased by 5% due to 7%-increase in crop production. Manufacturingofanimalproductsincreasedby 2.5%. 2.2. million tons of grain was harvested as of October 11 with the average yield of 15.2 centners per hectare, which is almost 2.4 centners per hectare higher than last year. Volume of construction works increased by 6.9% due to increase in housing construction. Over January-September, commissioning of residential buildings increased by 13.6% due to a significant increase in the rate of housing construction in Pavlodar, Akmola, Aktobe, Kyzylorda regions and Astana, the Minister informed.
