Ministry of Information and Communication signs Memorandum with BBC Worldwide
During his working trip to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev held a meeting with the leadership of BBC Worldwide Sean O’Hara and Sergey Stanovkin.
The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and the possibility of implementing joint projects.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan and BBC Worldwide. Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to implement joint projects aimed at exchanging editorial plans, holding round tables, organizing lectures for national and regional media, educational courses and seminars, as well as promoting the tourist and investment potential of Kazakhstan.
Also within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to create a working group, the main goal of which will be conducting joint consultations on the technical development of Kazakhstani television channels within the framework of transitioning to digital broadcasting, exchanging information and experience etc.
