To date, the concept of a bill on price regulation of medicines in the retail network has already been developed. This was reported by Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov at the press conference following the Government meeting.
Tomorrow we begin discussing this concept, first – at the public council under the Ministry of Health, then in the framework of the national chamber of entrepreneurs, in the media. This bill must go through all cycles of discussion in society. It is planned to send it to the Parliament in autumn, this year, Y. Birtanov said.
The Ministry of Healthcare plans to adopt this bill before the end of 2017, and from January 1, 2018, fix the maximum prices for all medicines in retail trade.
In addition, within the framework of the press conference, Y. Birtanov said that the Ministry of Healthcare developed a new model of outpatient pharmaceutical support. This model is designed to systematically solve all problematic issues of free medicine support to the welfare beneficiaries. In accordance with the new model, henceforth a single distributor will be fully responsible for the timely delivery, dispensing and registration of medicines throughout the country.
Tomorrow, the meeting of the public council under the Ministry of Healthcare will review the new model of outpatient pharmaceutical support. Also, a discussion with the business community will be necessary for its implementation.
