Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the Youth Year with a presentation of the book “New Names of Kazakhstan Diplomacy”
ASTANA, The Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a presentation of a series of interviews on the new generation of diplomats “The New Names of Kazakhstani Diplomacy” on March 5 within the Youth Year.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Roman Vasilenko during the presentation at the Diplomatic Institute meeting with young graduate students and professors and teaching staff highlighted President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s “new global civilization with the digital society and education economy” and the actual “youth is a key factor in the country’s competitiveness in the modern world” the importance of their words.
In the Central Office of the Ministry it is noted that 289 young people under the age of 44 years, including 60 are employed in managerial positions, 9 of them are women. Among young diplomats, there are two doctors of sciences, one candidate of science, 18 graduates of the Bolashak scholarship, and 86 graduates of the Institute for Diplomacy of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the Youth Year, the Ministry plans to hold a number of events: the establishment of the Young Diplomats’ Council for professional orientation of newly appointed employees; Organization of the Youth Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, an exhibition of young artists and young artists of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia; Implementation of diplomats’ projects for research on students with KAZMU University; Holding a national model of “UN Model”, where students from all countries will debate actual international issues on diplomacy mentions; Activation of embassies abroad with Kazakhstani students, etc.
Several international internships are planned for young diplomats in Germany, Japan, Egypt, China and other countries. The state language proficiency level, as well as foreign language learning courses are on a regular basis. Diplomats will be sent to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for advanced training and postgraduate study at the Diplomatic Institute.
In this regard, the Director of the Institute for Diplomacy of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, Marian Abisheva, noted the important role of the Institute in the training of professional diplomats for the foreign ministry.

The book “New Names of Kazakhstan Diplomacy” has shown readers different aspects of the diplomatic service and defines the direction of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Young civil servants tell their way to the “Foreign Ministry”, share their views on the diplomatic service, as well as tell about the daily work of the country’s national interests. The talks feature detailed economic, political, information and image, consular activities, as well as international organizations and platforms.
