Ministry of Energy anticipates increased reliability of energy supply

The issue of anticipated changes to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the matters of power industry was the subject of Kanat Bozumbayevs presentation at a regular Government meeting.

Introducing the relevant bill, the Minister informed on solving the problem of ownerless electric networks, the amount of which in the country is 4,580 km. In addition, there are 1,300 transformer substations. They will be transferred to the energy transmission organizations balance on the relevant preferential terms.

The changes proposed to the legislation will increase the reliability of power supply, reduce the cost of electricity transmission in the regions and the cost of electricity for consumers.

The problem of integrating the regional power grid companies is indicated in the 51st step of 100 Concrete Steps Nations Plan.
