Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan and St. Petersburg House of Music sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation will regulate cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in the field of cultural, social and human development.

A?cording to Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, this agreement on cooperation will be an additional effective tool in implementation of bilateral cultural relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.

The artistic director of Saint Petersburg House of Music Sergei Roldugin spoke about the significance of the memorandum for the development of cultural life of both countries.

Supporting the opinion of the Kazakh Minister, S.Roldugin emphasized that only true professionals are distinguished with ongoing commitment to development of diversified cultural cooperation on the way to universal spiritual development, which he saw in his Kazakhstani colleagues.

“Our St. Petersburg House of Music is engaged in development of young musicians, but now we would like to focus not only on promoting our Russian artists, but Kazakhstani as well. A rich culture of the Kazakh people has made a valuable contribution to the development of the world culture. And it is a reason why we have to culturally interact and mutually enrich ourselves,” S. Roldugin said.

According to the Memorandum, the parties will cooperate in areas of mutual interest. In particular, the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Saint Petersburg House of Music agreed to hold joint events for cultural, social and human development, as well as exchange of experience and advanced technology.

One of the important areas of mutual partnership, specified in the memorandum. will provide mutual assistance in improving professional skills of workers. The Ministry and the House of Music will jointly hold workshops and conferences where experts of the two countries can constructively exchange views on topical issues and problems in the sphere of culture and art.

In addition, the Minister noted that the Memorandum will contribute to establishment of contacts between musical institutions and concert organizations, exchange of artists, music groups and experts, as well as expansion of ties between the creative unions of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. Therefore, the sides agreed to organize tours of creative collectives and leading performers in Kazakhstan and Russia.
