Ministry of Agriculture to triple combine harvesters park of the country
Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Askar Myrzakhmetov proposes to purchase the agricultural machinery produced by CIS countries.
A.Myrzakhmetov noted its low prices and characteristics equal to foreign analogs, which will allow a three-fold enlargement of combine harvesters park of the country.
In 2015, we spent 3.6 billion tenge on the purchase of combine harvesters. In quantitative terms: 60% from CIS and 40% from non-CIS countries. Herewith, 70% of funds we spent on foreign machinery. According to our calculations, if we change proportions buying mainly CIS-produced machinery (Russia, Belarus), which are not inferior to foreign analogs, we will make a three-fold increase in combine harvesters park at the same expenses, A.Myrzakhmetov noted.
Secondly, according to the Minister, the money spent for the purchase of agricultural machinery through KazAgroFinance under the leasing program should be tied to the creation of domestic harvesting and agricultural machinery producing plant.
Their large amount is well known, but they are mainly engaged in screwdriver industries, the localization level is 20-25%. Now, upon the program, we are increasing the localization level annually and are ready to support the domestic agricultural machinery, A.Myrzakhmetov concluded.
