Ministry of Agriculture: 1377 wells constructed on distant pastures over 3 years
1,377 wells were constructed on distant pastures over 3 years. This was informed by Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Gulmira Issayeva during discussing the draft Law “On Pastures” at the Plenary Session of the Parliament`s Mazhilis.
“Construction of 1,142 wells was scheduled for 3 years, 2014-2016. In fact, for today the target was exceeded by constructing 1,377 wells worth over 4 billion tenge. There is a subsidy that provides for construction of wells via 80% of state expenditure, while 20% the farmer may use via leasing program,” G. Issayeva said.
According to Vice Minister, over 2 billion tenge was spent for reimbursement of farmers` funds expended for constructing the wells on distant pastures.
The Vice Minister also informed on current elaboration of a program that will provide for expanding the investment subsidy instruments to create pastures. The program will provide for reimbursement of funds for developing alternative energy sources for watering facilities. The hectare subsidies, which enable a radical improvement of pastures via domestication, are also provided for. More than 4 thousand wells are scheduled to be constructed all over the country by 2020; 28 billion tenge is provided for reimbursement of investment costs. Subsidies for trailers, dwelling for shepherds are also provided in the amount of 40% of cost rate.
