Minister of Defence meets with the best army athletes
Minister of Defence Colonel-General Saken Zhasuzakov held a meeting with army athletes of the Central Sports Club of the Army, who distinguished themselves in significant National and international competitions in 2017.
The Minister promoted to the next grade a number of athletes of the regular teams of CSKA, winners and prize-winners of National and international competitions, gave out honorary diplomas.
From year to year in a stubborn struggle you earn more medals for our homeland, worthily defend the honor of the country and the Armed Forces, raising the flag of Kazakhstan. Today, the Ministry of Defence attaches great importance to the training of servicemen, which undoubtedly bears its fruits, and our sporting results are not late in coming. Sport in the Armed Forces moves forward, and I hope that in the future we will also keep the bar high, � he addressed the athletes.
Among the athletes who partook in the solemn meeting with the Minister of Defence were the strongest climbers of Kazakhstan, junior sergeants Artem and Nikita Dyevyaterikov, biathlon champion of the VII Winter Asian Games junior sergeant Yan Savitsky, champion the XXVII Winter World Universiade, biathlete sergeant Alina Raikova, bronze medalist of the III Winter World Military Games in sport orienteering sergeant Elmira Moldasheva.
On behalf of all athletes I thank you and the leadership of CSKA for supporting us. Thanks to this, we have today’s results and victories. We are proud to serve in the Armed Forces of our country and pledge to always be true to the club motto: Raise the banner of our sport! – the international master of sport in biathlon sergeant Alina Raikova said.
To date, the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Ministry of Defence has three teams for military applied and 15 teams for Olympic sports. Military athletes successfully perform in National tournaments; worthily represent Kazakhstan and the Armed Forces of our country on the world stage, demonstrating high results and excellent physical training.
Since the beginning of this year, more than 100 CSKA athletes partook in 17 National and international competitions, where they won more than 70 medals of different denominations.
