Millionth visitor recorded in Kazakhstan’s pavilion
Since the opening of the exhibition to the present time, the sphere “Nur Alem” is in the top of the visited objects of EXPO-2017. Every day it takes from 10 to 28 thousand visitors. For the entire time of the exhibition, the main attraction of EXPO-2017 was visited by about 50 Presidents and heads of the Government.
The National Pavilion of Kazakhstan, the sphere “Nur Alem” is an architectural symbol of the EXPO-2017 exhibition. It is the largest spherical building in the world, its diameter is 80 meters, its height is 100 meters. The uniqueness of the design is that it is the first building in the world in the form of a full sphere. In the design of the facade, integration of photovoltaic elements is proposed, allowing the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy. Also in the upper part of the sphere there are 2 wind turbines, partially providing the building with energy.
According to the concept of the post-exhibition use, at the end of Astana-EXPO-2017, Nur Alem will become the Museum of the Future and will continue to function as a tourist site.
