Meeting of heads of ministries of economy of EAEU countries held in Almaty

A meeting of the heads of the ministries of economy of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was held today in Almaty.

The meeting chaired by Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov was attended by Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.

This meeting is held as part of the implementation of the order of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council dated February 1, 2019 “On holding regular meetings of the heads of the ministries of economy of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union”.

The ministers of economy supported the report of Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Reshetnikov “On the priorities of the Russian chairmanship in the bodies of the Union in 2023”, in particular, the issues of further deepening integration in all areas and the introduction of advanced scientific and technical solutions in the leading sectors of the economy, announced by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on January 18 this year.

The parties also listened to the report of the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Sergey Glazyev on the issue “On the Draft Guidelines for the Economic Development of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union until 2035” and agreed to continue work at the expert level.

During the discussion, Armenia voiced a proposal to consider issues in the field of tourism within the framework of the EAEU at the next meeting and to hold a seminar on this issue at the expert level in the near future.
