The 4th Round Table Meeting of the Arab Coordination Group has come to an end in Cholpon-Ata town, Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic reported.

First Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet Adylbek Kasymaliev appreciated the willingness of members of the Arab Coordination Group to consider participating in implementation of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022-2026 and to contribute to the development of priority sectors of the national economy, including building the institutional capacity of government agencies.

For their part, members of the Coordination Group noted the growth of socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic based on favorable macroeconomic indicators.

Members of the Arab Coordination Group also reviewed and discussed the list of priority projects submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers in the fields of social housing, transport infrastructure, water supply and sanitation, health and education.

During the meeting, representatives of the Islamic Development Bank made a presentation on the partnership mobilization initiative between the Global Partnership for Education and the Arab Coordination Group. The Arab Coordination Group has mobilized $500 million, which will be combined with Global Partnership for Education grants, to carry out reforms in the education system.

In accordance with the above agreements, the Kyrgyz Republic is entitled to receive US$60 million from the Arab Coordination Group, along with US$15 million of Global Partnership in Education grant funds for the development of the education sector.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan expressed interest in participating in this program.
