As the speaker informed, in November 2018, 38 suspicious cases of measles were recorded in Astana, 20 of them were children vaccinated by the age of one year, 8 – from 1 to 6 years, 5 cases when parents refused vaccination and 2 cases are being specified now .
Currently, 35 children are being treated in the children’s infectious diseases hospital. Satisfactory condition. 3 children discharged. 15 have confirmed laboratory diagnosis of measles. In the outbreaks of contact, 37 people were covered by vaccinations. The situation in the capital is under the control of the Public Health Service of Astana and the organization of primary health care, he said.
Sadvakas Baygabulov also cited disease statistics by year, for example, in 2013 in Astana 8 cases were recorded, in 2014 – 50, in 2015 – 396, in 2016 – 6, in 2017 – 0 and in 2018 – 1 case measles disease (31 year old male).

In the first 10 months of the current year, 19 144 children were vaccinated against measles with the first vaccination, that is, 83.3% and 15522 children were revaccinated at the age of 6 years, that is, 78.6% of the target group.
