MAZHILIS SPEAKER TO PARTICIPATE IN CSTO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY IN YEREVAN
The Chairman of the Mazhilis of Parliament, Nurlan Nigmatulin, is about to participate in the retreats of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, to take place on 4-5 November this year in Yerevan, Armenia, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament’s press service.
The Mazhilis Speaker will meet with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Chairman of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan, as well as attend a session of the Council of the CSTO PA, and address a plenary session of the CSTO PA.
The events to be held within the CSTO PA are due to touch upon the recommendations on improving the national legislations of the member States of the CSTO regarding collective peacekeeping forces, the issues relating to the confiscation of property to combat corruption, the issues of financing of terrorism, as well as collective humanitarian assistance to respond to emerging crisis situations within the CSTO member States.
The participants will also consider the draft CSTO model law on non-State actors responsible for national security.
