Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin and Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan discussed issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, reports with reference to the press service of the Mazhilis.

The meeting of N. Nigmatulin and A. Mirzoyan took place on the sidelines of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, the autumn session of which is taking place these days in Yerevan.

Having noted the friendly Kazakh-Armenian relations that are developing on the principles of mutually beneficial partnership and trust, Nurlan Nigmatulin emphasized that the leadership of Kazakhstan pays special attention to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas.

According to the Speaker of the Mazhilis, the joint work within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union contributes to the expansion of bilateral trade and economic ties.

Speaking about the Kazakh-Armenian inter-parliamentary relations, the Speaker of the Mazhilis emphasized the importance of the upcoming joint work on legislative support for Eurasian integration. Nurlan Nigmatulin offered his Armenian counterpart to use actively the potential of parliamentary cooperation groups and specialized committees of parliaments to exchange legislative experience.

During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed issues related to strengthening cooperation within the framework of the CSTO PA. As noted by Ararat Mirzoyan, the joint work of parliamentarians helps to find solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time.
