MAZHILIS CHAIRMAN VISITS SEMEY EMERGENCY HOSPITAL AS PART OF TRIP TO E KAZAKHSTAN
The draft Code On the health of the people and the health system currently under consideration in the Mazhilis, was the focus of the meeting of Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin with the public of Eastern Kazakhstan, the Kazakh lower house’s press service informs.
The discussion took place in the Semey Emergency Hospital during the working trip of the Speaker of the Mazhilis to the region.
As Nurlan Nigmatulin noted, the new version of the Code should have a significant impact on improving the availability and quality of medical services in the country, providing for many innovations in the field of disease prevention, determining the level of pre-medical and medical care, as well as new approaches to organ transplantation.
He went on to say that the Government’s version, which has been submitted to the House, is carefully and comprehensively considered by all the committees of the Mazhilis, as well as discussed at various venues during the deputies’ trip of the regions.
The main work, of course, is carried out within the working group that includes deputies of the Mazhilis, representatives of state bodies, experts, NGOs and medical workers.
The discussion covered organ transplantation, artificial life support, preventive vaccinations, screening studies, and preventive medical examinations of children.
Noting that some points of the draft are debatable, Nurlan Nigmatulin has pointed out that all proposals on them will be most carefully analyzed and discussed. According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis, this will result in a high-quality, elaborated and functioning law.
