The maximum peak of payments on external debt will be in 2023, so we continue to maintain a high rate of collection of budget revenues, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov told speaking at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.

He said that during the 1.5 years of President Sadyr Japarov’s tenure, the volume of GDP has stabilized and positive growth has been ensured.

“If during the pandemic the volume of GDP decreased by 8.3%, then for 5 months of this year the growth was 5.7%. Positive growth dynamics is observed in all sectors of the economy. The nominal indicator of GDP in 2020 was 601.8 billion soms, in 2021 – 723.1 billion soms, this year the forecast is 824 billion soms, and in 2024 the forecast is 926 billion soms. In the next 2-3 years, we intend to bring this figure to 1 trillion soms,” the head of the Cabinet said.
