Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbaev voted in the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan , casting his vote at polling station No. 111 in the building of the National Library in the capital .
Maulen Ashimbayev noted the importance of participation of every citizen in the elections, stressing that on this day the country chooses which way Kazakhstan will develop in the coming years.
“ Elections are the most important element of any democratic system. Through voting, citizens exercise their right to form power and participate in government. Everything necessary has been done to ensure that the elections are held openly, transparently, in full compliance with the norms of national legislation and international standards. I am sure that at this fateful moment for the country, Kazakhstanis will show civic maturity, responsibility and take an active part in the voting ,” Maulen Ashimbayev stressed.
The Speaker of the Senate thanked the media representatives for the active information coverage of the pre-election process, both in Kazakhstan and abroad. Maulen Ashimbaev added that more than 600 international observers from 35 countries and representatives of ten international organizations are monitoring the elections in the country these days.
