The students of the second stream of the School of Analytics started their studies. The initiative of the Club of Young Experts under the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan to create this public project was previously supported by the Chairman of the Chamber Maulen Ashimbaev. Lecturers will be well-known Kazakhstani and foreign experts.

Speaking at the opening of the School of Analytics, the Chairman of the Senate noted the importance of the systematic development of critical thinking and the growing demand for high- quality analytics in all areas. He stressed that this project turned out to be in demand among experts, the number of applications for the second stream has increased. In this regard, it was decided to expand the number of listeners.

As Maulen Ashimbaev noted, the project is aimed at strengthening analytical approaches in public administration, social and humanitarian research, media and other areas. In this regard, the educational process will be built around mastering the criteria, standards and specifics of high-quality analytics, as well as developing practical skills in writing analytical texts. This year the main topic of the training course will be “Regional Development of Kazakhstan: Problems and Prospects” .

In his lecture, the Speaker of the Senate also focused on analytical methods and approaches in public administration. He also shared the formula for high-quality analytics and personal experience in research, improving practical skills.

“ In Kazakhstan, on the initiative of the President of the country, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, large-scale political and socio-economic transformations have begun. As a result of the referendum, major changes were made to the Constitution. The process of reloading and personnel renewal of all authorities has been launched. These are all fundamental processes that are transforming the political system, economic and social spheres. But in order for our country to be democratic and socially prosperous, there is still a lot of work to be done. Therefore, we need personnel with deep knowledge, clear thinking, analytical skills in order to make the right decisions , ” said Maulen Ashimbaev, addressing the students of the school.

The public project “School of Analytics”, according to the Chairman of the Senate, helps to improve analytical thinking skills, communicate with colleagues and expand networking.

“Working in analytics is a constant self-improvement. It is important to understand the details, to get to the point. Structure your thoughts. Look for an interesting way to present your ideas. If you learn to structure and qualitatively analyze ongoing processes, improve your skills in preparing professional texts, and be able to speak convincingly and convincingly, you will increase your competitiveness and relevance. I hope that our initiative – the School of Analytics will help you improve your professional skills,” said Maulen Ashimbaev.

On the first day of classes, a political scientist and publicist, an expert on lawmaking issues, Ekaterina Shulman, also spoke as a lecturer. In her lecture, she focused on the aspects of political forecasting. In this regard, answering the questions of the audience, the political scientist voiced her forecast about possible scenarios for the development of Kazakhstan.

In turn, a public figure, scientific director of the Center for Applied Economics Research Zhaksybek Kulekeyev , in his speech shared his vision and recommendations on what modern analysts should be like. The expert also focused on the impact of geopolitical problems on the oil and gas sector of the country as a whole.

As part of the training program, lectures are also expected from the philosopher, professor of Kiev National University Andriy Baumeister , publicist and researcher Alexander Baunov , dean of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics of the Higher School of Economics Anastasia Likhacheva , as well as Advisor to the President, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Bauyrzhan Omarov , akim of the Ulytau region and political scientist Berik Abdygaliev , well-known Kazakh experts Gulmira Ileuova, Daniyar Ashimbaev, Marat Shibutov, Gaziz Abishev and others.
