Malta is ready to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan comprehensively
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres. S. Nurtayev emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in revealing the potential of trade and economic cooperation with Malta. The Kazakh diplomat had also noted the wide opportunities of cooperation in the field of tourism and education.
During the conversation, the Ambassador talked about political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan, preparation for the international exhibition EXPO-2017, Kazakhstan’s activities as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
S. Nurtayev informed the interlocutor about the measures taken in Kazakhstan to diversify the economy based on “Nurly Zhol” program and “100 concrete steps” for the implementation of 5 Institutional Reforms, the carrying-out work on improving investment climate, and also on privatization process. The Ambassador had also told about international peacekeeping initiatives of Kazakhstan.
In her turn, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca wished further strengthening of the bilateral Kazakh-Maltese cooperation, indicated Malta’s readiness to comprehensively develop cooperation with Kazakhstan in all spheres and as the President of the country – the current Chairman of the Council of the European Union (January-June 2017) noted the importance of developing relations in the line Kazakhstan � the EU.
