Local content in procurement of state bodies and national companies amounts to 58.3% in 2016 – Zh.Kassymbek
Over the 9 months of 2016, share of local content in the procurement of state bodies and national companies has amounted to 58.3%, Minister of Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek informs.
Over the nine months of 2016, the share of local content in the procurement amounts to 58.3% according to the data provided by NADLoC National Agency for Development of Local Content. The total procurement of goods, works and services increased by 1 trillion 596 billion tenge compared to the same period last year. Although in comparison with the same period last year, an interim Kazakhstani content decreased by 7.7%, Zh.Kassymbek said at the II Forum of Domestic Producers Uly Dala Eli.
According to the Minister, the main reasons for reduced percentage of local content is changes in tenge rates, increased purchase of imported raw materials, almost 35% in natural units. The Government carries ongoing work to support domestic producer, including state policy of industrialization, support of measures aimed at improving the regulatory framework, as well as spot work with local producers to provide them with long-term contracts and to establish interrelated industries. The forum was mainly focused on Kazakh products sales.
Thus, the forum program included the panel session on Purchases. Sales. Trade. Export with such panelists as heads of Kazakhstan national companies, representatives of Samruk-Kazyna subsidiaries, business associations and over 700 entrepreneurs.
