LIGHT INDUSTRY NEEDS TO BE DEEPLY STUDIED SENATE DEPUTY
In Shymkent, in preparation for the parliamentary hearings on the topic: Light industry of Kazakhstan: current status and prospects for the development of high performance business, a meeting of members of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship of the Senate of Parliament with entrepreneurs, the management of Kazakhstan Investment Fund, Social entrepreneurial corporates Shymkent and Atameken regional chamber of entrepreneurs, Strategy2050.kz with reference to the Senate press service reports.
A working group led by Committee Chairman Serik Dzhaksybekov, which included deputies Manat Kubenov and Alimzhan Kurtayev, visited a number of enterprises in the city of Shymkent. They familiarized with the activities of the Gauhar LLP garment factory and the AZALA Textile LLP textile mill of full cycle.
To date, the Gaukhar garment factory is one of the largest manufacturers in Kazakhstan in the production of workwear, military and departmental uniforms, school clothes and home textiles.
AZALA Textile LLP’s director pointed out that domestic AZALA Textile fabrics are more in demand in Italy or Germany than in the domestic market, with 90% of its products being exported.
The Senate deputies visited the Ontustik special economic zone, which was created for the development of the textile and clothing industry, where the deputies visited AZALA Cotton LLP, Bal Textil LLP and AGF Group LLP. They were presented the manufactured products, as well as took a tour of all the workshops and presented the entire process of the enterprises.
Further, senators and entrepreneurs of the city of Shymkent discussed the main problems faced by business in the light industry sector.
Senate deputy Serik Dzhaksybekov stated that in Kazakhstan the development of light industry is becoming one of the priority areas, since this industry has social significance, ensuring high employment of the population. In this regard, this branch of light industry should be deeply studied and analyzed the main problems that arise in the process of an enterprise.
The deputies underscored that the quality of the products should be consistent with its price and be competitive, and that each company should be interested in finding opportunities to improve the quality of its products.
