Kyrgyzstan’s PM stresses importance of construction sector in country’s economy
The construction sector accounts for 29% of GDP, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said at the presentation of the development strategy of the country’s construction industry for 2019-2030.
The prime minister specified that if the country’s GDP is KGS 600 billion, the construction sector accounts for KGS 172 billion.
“We see the importance of the construction sector in the country’s economy. Today we are adopting a strategy, aimed at solving problems in this sector, amending legislative acts and attract investors,” the Kyrgyz PM added.
According to the head of the government, there is need to eliminate corruption mechanisms and obstacles in the construction sector. In particular, it is necessary to simplify the issuance of permits and reduce the time of their issuance.
