Kyrgyzstan’s Permanent Rep to UN, President of 74th UN General Assembly session meet
At the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, the United Nations Headquarters hosted a bilateral meeting of Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva with President of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly Tijjani Bande.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of topical international issues and prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Office of the Chairman of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about Kyrgyzstan’s contribution to the development of international dialogue in the framework of the UN through various initiatives, such as the declaration of February 20 the World Day of Social Justice and December 11 the International Mountain Day, the establishment of the Group of Friends of Mountainous Countries at the UN Headquarters and assistance in promoting the UN Sustainable Mountain Development resolution.
Also, Moldoisaeva emphasized the active work of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, she informed about the decision of Kyrgyzstan to present the Voluntary National Review on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2020.
Tijjani Bande positively noted the Kyrgyz Republic’s contribution to the development of cooperation, and expressed support to the Kyrgyz side in further initiatives in this direction.
