Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounts to $6B – statistics
According to preliminary data, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover in January-November 2019 amounted to $6 billion, Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Sultanov said during the press conference in Bishkek.
According to the chairman’s data, in comparison with January-November 2018 figures decreased by 2.6%, while export supplies increased by 9.4% and import revenues, on the contrary, decreased by 6.6%.
“In January-November 2019, the volume of mutual trade of the republic with member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to more than $2 billion, and decreased by 4.2% compared to January-November 2018,” said the head of the Committee.
Sultanov also added during this period there was a decline in both export supplies by 0.8% and import revenues by 5.1%. Russia (61.6%) and Kazakhstan (36.2%) accounted for the largest share of mutual trade with the EAEU member-states.
