Kyrgyzstan’s female biathlete to perform at Lausanne 2020 YOG today

Kyrgyzstan’s Elena Bondarets will perform at the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games for the second time.

The sporting event is taking place these days in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Elena Bondarets will show her skills in a 6km sprint race with two shooting ranges.

The biathlete previously participated in biathlon competitions in the 10 km individual race. She finished, but was disqualified due to a firing error.

At the games, Kyrgyzstan is represented by Elena Bondarets and Islam Turganbayev.

The 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games, officially known as the III Winter Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Lausanne 2020 is the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympics; a major international multi-sport event and cultural festival for teenagers to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, the home of the International Olympic Committee between 9 and 22 January 2020.

A total of 1,872 athletes from 79 nations qualified, the most for any edition of a Winter Youth Olympics.
