Kyrgyzstanis win three medals at Asian Chess Championship in Nepal
Athletes performed at the Asian Amateur Chess Championships, the press service of the Federation of this sport of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The tournament took place in Katmandu, Nepal on Nov. 8-15 and was held in 9 rounds with time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds.
Domestic chess players won three medals, including two gold and one bronze.
Islambek Baisynov won among the players with ratings of 1800-1999, while Baiel Orunbayev won rivals, becoming the champion among boys under 16.
Nurlan Shergaliyev took the third place in the competition, he competed in the category of athletes with ratings of 1000 – 1499.
