The Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 urges Kyrgyzstanis to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to the headquarters, in Kyrgyzstan as of May 30, 1 million 553 309 people received the vaccine against COVID-19:
2 dose – 1 million 315 262 people,
booster – 220,468 people.
It is noted that this is not enough to achieve herd immunity.
Infectionists report that in a population where there are many unvaccinated people, the virus is more likely to evolve. In order for the pandemic to come to naught, and COVID-19 no longer “pleases” us with new mutant strains and turns into a common seasonal infection, at least 70% of the population must be vaccinated.
Vaccination allows you to protect not only yourself, but also those around you. After all, a vaccinated person is less likely to get sick and infect other people.
This is especially important to protect those who are at increased risk of severe COVID-19, such as healthcare workers, the elderly, and people with chronic illnesses. Protect yourself and your loved ones from severe consequences, the report said.
